Blak Joins mobilePeople From IBM
Mobile Search Company Appoints New Chief Operating Officer 2 April 2007
London/ Copenhagen, 2 April 2007 – mobilePeople has today announced the appointment of Mads Blak as its Chief Operating Officer. Within this role, he will take responsibility for all operational and functional activities of the company – working closely with Jens Andersen, CEO and co-founder who commented:
“Mads Blak joins us with a wealth of experience across a broad sweep of business areas including; IT, legal, tax and economic matters. His core strength is the ability to understand these areas at an operational level and retain a commercial management perspective. He is a solid strategist, who we’re confident will deliver a positive impact and is a welcome addition to our management team.”
Prior to his role with mobilePeople, Blak was Country Manager Denmark for server system operations within IBM’s strategic outsourcing practice. He holds a masters degree in business law and business administration from University of Aalborg and an executive MBA focusing on technology, marketing and organisation from Copenhagen Business School. Mads is also a certified ISO quality systems auditor.
Blak said of his appointment: “I find the mobile sector very interesting because it’s so dynamic and fluid. mobilePeople offers me the chance to work within a creative industry that marries flair and commerce. I’ll be heavily utilising my previous management experience as there are several key projects to be undertaken over the coming months.”
Blak joins mobilePeople in April 2007 and will be based from the company’s head office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
