The company was founded by Jens Andersen and Carsten Gildum in 2002 and remains privately-owned. Today mobilePeople has 50 employees. Headquarters are in Copenhagen (DK) and offices in London (UK), Denver (USA), and Melbourne (AUS).

What we do
We provide a complete mobile local search solution (liquid) which creates new revenue streams through mobile search marketing and advertising. We manage the entire mobile search process including user interface design, search technology, content indexes and advertising network.

Our vision is to make the mobile phone the preferred search channel for consumers and to create and lead the advertising marketplace within the mobile search sector. Our mission is to enable directory publishers and media companies to monetize on the mobile search economy.

We focus on content to drive traffic
Mobile users typically search for infotainment (e.g. music, pictures, videos, games, news, and information) and local content (e.g. retail, shopping, people, and utility). Mobile search allows businesses to reach consumers who are looking for relevant content instantly and in the right context. We provide access to both content worlds; infotainment and local information. Content is the traffic-driver and the scope of a query. So, by integrating infotainment such as community related items, free promotional content, and entertainment details we create a sticky user experience.
