Jens Andersen, CEO and co-founder
In 2002 Jens jointly founded mobilePeople with Carsten Gildum. Jens has spent over 17 years working within the telecommunications sector. He has held senior roles with European and US companies including; TeleDanmark, TeliaSonera, Realtime and Ericsson. His key areas of focus have been general management, commercial operations and product development. Today Jens is CEO of mobilePeople and is intrinsic in the company’s continual growth and driving its strategic direction.

Carsten Gildum, SVP Sales and co-founder
Carsten is responsible for commercial operations at mobilePeople and has spent over 12 years working within strategic commercial roles within the telecommunications and media industries jointly founding mobilePeople in 2002 with Jens Andersen. He has worked with some of the largest mobile operators and media companies across Europe including Yell.com, Eniro and Schibsted.

Claudia Poepperl, Chief Marketing Officer
Claudia has 14 years experience in the mobile, media and online industries with various senior management and operational roles. At start-up UCP she was managing director launching Germany’s largest mobile youth community and subsequently MVNO. She also headed sales and business development at mobile content delivery firm Ucp Morgen and the marketing department at digital commerce software firm Qpass. Previously Claudia joined T-Mobile’s international division to prepare the launch of its mobile Internet services arm T-Motion and designed T-Mobile Austria’s first mobile content services. Claudia has been appointed Special Advisor to the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) after having served 3 years as Vice Chairman and board member. She holds masters degrees from Bowling Green State University (USA) and Paris-Lodron University (Austria) in mass communication and media studies.

Nick Gee, Director Product Management
Nick Gee is responsible for product management at mobilePeople focusing on advertising and mobile search monetisation opportunities. Nick’s previous role prior to joining mobilePeople was as Commercial Manager for Sensis Mobiles. Sensis is Australia’s leading online information resource, publisher of Yellow Pages, White Pages, mapping and classifieds. Prior to Nick’s time in the Sensis mobile team he undertook a number of product development roles within both Sensis & Telstra, Australia’s largest telco. Nick has an Honours degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Western Australia and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).

Brian Jakobsen, Director Project Management
Brian is in charge of project management at mobilePeople. Since joining in 2003 he has delivered the key projects which make up the company’s DNA.  He has 25 years experience within product and software development arenas. Previously Brian was Chief System Architect at Ericsson and was responsible for the operator’s call center. He started his career as a programmer back in 1981 on a Zinclair ZX-81 working on the assembly side of things. Programming is still one of his core passions.

Allan Smidt, Director New Technology
Allan is in charge of foraging the mobile landscape for technological nectar that can be turned into attractive concepts and features for mobilePeople’s solutions. He has more than 25 years experience working with telecommunication technologies; from programs to patents and pragmatism. Since joining mobilePeople in 2002 Allan has been working on laying the technological foundation for early offerings within mobile search.

Lisa Sommer, Director User Experience
Lisa Sommer is heading up the User Experience group at mobilePeople. Lisa has in excess of 8 years experience working with segmentation, personas and user group models within the commercial industry. Prior to mobilePeople she was responsible for usability and graphic design for applications and web-based solutions at T-Systems in Denmark. Lisa started her career as a graphic designer and holds a master degree in Digital Design from the Danish School of Design.

Jørn Svendsen, Chief Software Architect
Jørn is in charge of software architecture at mobilePeople. He has more than 20 years experience gained from the software and telecommunication industries. Prior to joining mobilePeople in 2002 he worked with Ericsson where he delivered various international telecoms projects in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Jørn has over 15 years experience working with the main directory service providers and holds a masters degree in Electro Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.    

Florus Both, Director Operations
Florus is in charge of the mobilePeople hosting centre and has been working with IT operations and projects for the past 15 years for companies such as Ascio, UUNet and Nokia. His international experience of working in Amsterdam, London, Zurich and Copenhagen contributes to the international expansion of mobilePeople.
